Hey guys, I'm Capt. Charlie Filpes. Born and raised in Miami Florida, I was fortunate enough to spend my weekends and summers in the fabulous Florida Keys. My passion for the ocean inspired me to start my business Key Largo Adventures, an all-inclusive private boat charter in Islamorada FL, which I've been doing for the past 12 years. Additionally, I was previously an elementary school teacher in Miami-Dade Country for 20 years, where I was also able to incorporate boating adventures by sponsoring students and their families on Marine Eco-Trips. One of the coolest activities to do around Islamorada is to stand up paddle board (SUP) around the sandbar! The gorgeous shallow surroundings make it fun to SUP in search of marine life, to fish, or to simply just take in the breathtaking views.
