Background:

Hey friends my name is Dove (yes-like the bird!)! I am a second generation Native Arizonan and lover/advocate of the diverse Southwest landscapes. The outdoors are an integral part of who I am, both personally and professionally. I grew up going on family vacations to National Parks, horseback riding in the Sonoran desert, and going on mother/daughter hiking trips to explore new trails in AZ. My first ever job was for Apache Junction Parks and Recreation, and after getting a degree in Environmental Studies and Parks and Recreation Management at NAU, I went on to work for the National Park Service at Arches National Park in Moab, UT and then at Rocky Mountain National Park in Estes Park, CO.

A guiding job with Arizona Outback Adventures and REI brought me back to my home state where I spent several years guiding multiday adventure trips all over the Southwest to gems like the Grand Canyon, Havasupai, Yosemite, Bryce, Zion, etc. If you can’t tell, I have been blessed to work in some incredible places! My most recent work adventure has been managing a 29,000 acre regional park for Maricopa County Parks and Recreation.

I love dabbling in all sorts of outdoor activities including backpacking, hiking, climbing, canyoneering, camping, rafting, and most recently SUPing! After a 26 day private rafting trip through the entire Grand Canyon, I became addicted to learning to read the water. SUPing rivers is my favorite! You can find my adventure dog, Timber, and I out exploring Arizona’s beauty on any given weekend, or after work! Nature is my happy place, and I want others to find the positivity in the outdoors that I do. I also want to inspire others to be stewards of our lands and help instill outdoor ethics that will keep these areas clean, safe, and pristine for both the environment and future generations!
