Hey there! I'm Joe, also known as "SUP Garbage Man." I'm just a dude with a paddle board who hauls trash out of our waterways…if I'm on the water, I'm collecting trash. No agendas. No shaming. No finger-pointing. I'm just removing the stuff that doesn't belong. As a native Floridian, I grew up in a small beach town on the Atlantic Ocean. I spent summers (and Florida winters) at the beach or boating on rivers and lakes. It wasn’t until 2013 that I tried my sea legs at paddle boarding and was instantly hooked. Since then, you’d be hard-pressed to find me on a day that I wasn’t on the water or wishing I was. Having spent my childhood on the water, I gained an appreciation for the sense of freedom that comes from being afloat. In 2019, I began SUP Garbage Man to do something about the trash problem and pay respect to the waterways that have shaped my life.
